1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use JOVEYA.
By creating an account, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18;
- the information you provide is accurate;
- you are legally permitted to use the service;
- you will comply with these Terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account.
You must not:
- share your account credentials improperly;
- impersonate another person;
- create accounts for fraudulent purposes;
- use another person’s account without authorization.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by applicable law.
3. JOVEYA Is a Social Travel Platform
JOVEYA helps users discover travelers, communicate, create trips, and participate in travel-related social activities.
JOVEYA is not:
- a travel agency;
- a tour operator;
- an airline;
- a hotel;
- an insurance provider;
- a transportation provider;
- a professional matchmaking service.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, JOVEYA does not organize, supervise, guarantee, or insure user-created trips or meetings.
4. User Safety
Interactions with other users may involve risks.
You are responsible for using reasonable judgment when:
- meeting another user;
- joining a trip;
- sharing personal information;
- arranging transport;
- making financial arrangements;
- traveling with other users.
You should independently verify travel arrangements and exercise appropriate safety precautions.
JOVEYA does not guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, or reliability of any user.
5. User Content
You may be able to submit content such as:
- profile information;
- photos;
- messages;
- trip information;
- Group Trip content.
You retain ownership of your content.
However, you grant JOVEYA a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, transmit, process, resize, and otherwise use your content as necessary to operate and improve JOVEYA.
You confirm that you have the legal right to upload and share the content you provide.
6. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You must not use JOVEYA to:
- harass, threaten, abuse, or stalk others;
- promote violence or exploitation;
- distribute illegal content;
- engage in fraud or scams;
- impersonate others;
- distribute spam;
- solicit unlawful transactions;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- distribute malware;
- attempt unauthorized system access;
- bypass subscription restrictions;
- manipulate usage limits;
- scrape or harvest user data;
- use automated systems without authorization;
- engage in discriminatory or hateful conduct;
- share sexually exploitative or unlawful material.
JOVEYA may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.
7. Trips
Users may create Private, Discoverable, or Group Trips where supported.
Trip information is user-generated.
JOVEYA does not guarantee:
- accuracy of trip details;
- attendance;
- transportation;
- accommodation;
- safety;
- availability;
- itinerary completion.
Users remain responsible for their own travel arrangements.
8. Group Trips
Group Trips may allow:
- hosts;
- co-hosts;
- members;
- join requests;
- invitations;
- group messaging;
- moderation controls.
Group capacity and eligibility may depend on the user’s plan.
Hosts and co-hosts are responsible for reasonable management of their group but are not employees, agents, or representatives of JOVEYA.
9. JOVEYA Free
The Free plan may include usage limits.
These limits may apply to features such as:
- Discover results;
- Explore results;
- outgoing connections;
- incoming connection reveals;
- saved items;
- active trips;
- Group Trip participation;
- profile photos.
Limits may reset according to the applicable feature period.
JOVEYA may change Free-plan limits prospectively with reasonable notice.
10. JOVEYA Plus
JOVEYA Plus is a paid subscription that may include enhanced features.
Current features may include, depending on platform availability:
- expanded or effectively unlimited discovery;
- expanded Explore usage;
- additional profile photos;
- image sharing in messages;
- enhanced trip limits;
- Group Trip creation and hosting;
- additional saved items;
- certain verification features;
- other Plus features identified in the app.
Features may evolve over time.
11. Subscription Prices
Subscription prices are displayed through the applicable app store.
Prices may vary by:
- country;
- currency;
- taxes;
- local pricing;
- app-store rules.
The price shown by Google Play or Apple at checkout is the applicable purchase price.
12. Auto-Renewal
JOVEYA Plus subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled through the relevant app store.
For monthly subscriptions, renewal generally occurs monthly.
For yearly subscriptions, renewal generally occurs annually.
The applicable store may charge your payment method before or at renewal in accordance with its policies.
13. Cancellation
You may cancel future renewal through the app store that processed the purchase.
Cancelling renewal generally does not immediately remove Plus.
You normally retain Plus until the end of the paid subscription period unless the subscription is terminated earlier by:
- refund;
- revocation;
- chargeback;
- fraud;
- store action;
- violation of applicable rules.
14. Refunds
Payments are processed by the applicable app store.
Refund eligibility and processing may therefore be governed by Google Play, Apple, or another payment provider.
JOVEYA may not be able to issue refunds directly for store-processed purchases.
If a refund or revocation removes the underlying entitlement, JOVEYA Plus may end before the originally expected expiration date.
15. No Free Trial at Initial Launch
Unless explicitly displayed in the app store or checkout flow, JOVEYA Plus does not include a free trial.
Promotional offers may be introduced in the future.
16. Subscription Restoration
JOVEYA may provide a Restore Purchases function.
A purchase is associated with the JOVEYA account that legitimately owns the subscription.
A subscription should not be automatically transferred between unrelated JOVEYA accounts.
If ownership cannot be verified, the user may be required to sign in to the original account or contact support.
17. Loss of Plus
When Plus ends:
- your account remains;
- existing authorized content is generally retained;
- conversations are retained;
- trips are retained;
- saved items may remain;
- limits applicable to Free accounts become effective.
Existing items above Free-plan limits are generally retained, but you may be prevented from adding new items until you return below the applicable limit or renew Plus.
18. Profile Photos After Downgrade
Free users may display up to the Free-plan photo limit.
If you uploaded additional photos while subscribed to Plus, those photos may remain stored.
JOVEYA may automatically show the first eligible photos according to their existing order and allow you to select which retained photos remain publicly active.
Renewing Plus may restore access to the additional retained photos.
19. Group Trip Grace Period
If Plus expires while you are a Group Trip Host or Co-host, JOVEYA may provide a temporary administrative grace period.
During or after that period:
- some administrative permissions may be restricted;
- new admissions may be frozen;
- existing group history may remain;
- group chat history may remain;
- the group is not automatically deleted.
After the applicable grace period, former hosts or co-hosts may lose administrative privileges according to JOVEYA’s current product rules.
20. Cancelled and Completed Trips
Cancelled or completed Group Trips may remain visible in historical form.
They may become read-only, meaning users may be unable to:
- send new messages;
- send new images;
- submit new join requests;
- send new invitations.
21. Messaging
Free users may send supported text-based messages.
Image sharing may require JOVEYA Plus.
Previously authorized message history may remain accessible after a subscription ends.
JOVEYA may restrict message functionality where necessary for safety or enforcement.
22. Discovery and Ranking
JOVEYA may use algorithms to determine discovery ordering.
Factors may include:
- relevance;
- compatibility;
- profile information;
- travel information;
- controlled diversity;
- user preferences.
Plus may receive a limited ranking benefit only when candidates have an exact equal ranking score.
This benefit does not increase a candidate's underlying relevance score, override stronger ranking factors, or guarantee first position.
23. Verification
JOVEYA may provide trust and verification features.
Verification does not guarantee that a person is safe, trustworthy, honest, or suitable to meet.
Users must still exercise their own judgment.
24. Blocking and Reporting
You may be able to block or report users.
JOVEYA may investigate reports and may take actions including:
- content removal;
- feature restriction;
- temporary suspension;
- permanent account termination.
25. Suspension and Termination
JOVEYA may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- violate these Terms;
- threaten users;
- engage in fraud;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- abuse subscription systems;
- repeatedly violate safety rules;
- create legal or security risks.
Where appropriate, JOVEYA may preserve certain information for legal, fraud-prevention, or safety purposes.
26. Availability of the Service
We aim to provide a reliable service, but JOVEYA may occasionally be unavailable due to:
- maintenance;
- technical failures;
- third-party outages;
- security incidents;
- network conditions;
- app store availability.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
27. Changes to Features
JOVEYA may add, remove, modify, or improve features.
Material changes affecting paid subscription value will be handled reasonably and in accordance with applicable store and legal requirements.
28. Intellectual Property
JOVEYA’s software, branding, logos, interface, designs, and related materials are owned by JOVEYA or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, or commercially exploit JOVEYA except where permitted by law.
29. Third-Party Services
JOVEYA relies on third-party services.
These may include:
- Google Play;
- Apple;
- RevenueCat;
- Supabase;
- Firebase;
- notification providers.
JOVEYA is not responsible for independent third-party services outside our reasonable control.
30. Disclaimers
JOVEYA is provided on an “as available” basis.
To the extent permitted by law, JOVEYA does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted access;
- error-free operation;
- accuracy of user-generated information;
- safety of user meetings or trips;
- successful social connections;
- successful travel outcomes.
31. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JOVEYA and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
32. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or losses arising from:
- your unlawful use of JOVEYA;
- content you submit;
- violation of these Terms;
- violation of another person’s rights.
33. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to the operator of JOVEYA, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in the user’s country.
34. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms.
If changes are material, we may provide notice through the app, email, or another appropriate method.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms may constitute acceptance where legally permitted.
